Are You Committed?

by Mike Monahan

“Commitment is an act, not a word.”

– Jean-Paul Sarte

“Commitment” is a powerful word. But it loses its power when you decide that there are levels of commitment. When you view commitment as if it has a dimmer switch, you’ll soon find it has little power.

When you are 100 percent committed, there is no dimmer switch. The lights are fully on. In business, that means you’ll do whatever it takes to complete the task at hand. You wouldn’t accept any excuse as a reason to stop moving forward.

If you’ve ever been fully committed, you know the power I’m talking about. If you’ve been using a dimmer switch, you know the excuses for not being committed.

Get committed by joining me at the upcoming Cincinnati Business Courier breakfast on Tuesday, March 18 at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce offices.

At “Unlock the Door to Business Success,” we’ll look at committing to your success and acting on it.
